Kimpton de Witt – Amsterdam

EN: You’re planning a trip to Amsterdam and looking for the perfect accommodation? I found the perfect hotel in the city center of Amsterdam: Kimpton de Witt. Honestly, I think it is one of the most beautiful hotel I’ve been so far. Just three minutes’ walk from Centraal Station, in a triangle formed by one of Amsterdam’s main traffic thoroughfares and a busy pedestrianised commercial shopping street. An Eighties building envelopes two 17th-century houses like a giant snail shell. Inside, Ave Bradley’s soothing design – soft blues and greys, minimalist clarity offset by eye-catching contemporary artworks and intriguing furniture – creates a pool of calm. A large lobby lounge divides effortlessly into separate seating areas, each with a different mood. The soothing blue-and-grey colour scheme, local artworks, Delftware references and angular contemporary fittings also make their way up into the rooms, which are amply sized and well insulated from the noisy street. Aaaaand dogs are welcome as well. You won’t find a lot of pet friendly hotels in Amsterdam. All in all, we had a perfect time in Amsterdam and enjoyed the city during the christmas season to the fullest.

DE: Ihr plant einen Trip nach Amsterdam und seid noch auf der Suche nach einem schönen Hotel? Ich hab da auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung für euch: das Kimpton de Witt. Um ehrlich zu sein war ich glaube ich bisher in keinem schöneren Hotel. Von der Lobby, über die Bar bis hin zum Zimmer ist das gesamte Hotel super stimmig und stylish eingerichtet und hat genau meinen Geschmack getroffen. Nur 3 Minuten vom Hauptbahnhof in Amsterdam entfernt liegt das wunderschöne Kimpton de Witt sehr zentral. Über zwei Gebäuden aus dem 17. Jahrhundert erstreckt sich das Hotel und bekommt dadurch einen ganz eigenen Charm. Das Design aus weichen Blau- und Grüntönen kombiniert mit Samt und gradlinigen Möbeln findet sich auch in den minimalistischen Zimmer wieder. Nicht nur vom Design des Hotels bin ich super begeistert, auch das Personal und der Service dort ist top gewesen. Das Personal hat uns super freundlich empfangen und war während unseres Aufenthalts immer hilfsbereit. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Hunde sind im Kimpton de Witt gern gesehen und willkommen. Denn das findet man in Amsterdam nicht sehr oft. Auch über nix-wie-weg.de könnt ihr super euren nächsten Städtereise, wie z.B. nach Amsterdam planen.
