24h in Amsterdam – What to do? (Amsterdam Travel Guide)

I’ve been to Amsterdam so many times, so I thought it is the right time to share my favorite hot spots in Amsterdam with you. That’s why I prepared this 24h in Amsterdam travel guide with a few of my recommendations you have to to when you’re in Amsterdam. So let’s start the day in Amsterdam with a huge breakfast.

My new fav breakfast spot is located in the center of Amsterdam. You will find the Café De Drie Graefjes in this street: Rokin 128, 1012 LC Amsterdam next to a shopping street with stores like Zara, Bershka ….

They serve a very good breakfast as well as a huge lunch and very delicious cake. We’ve been there for breakfast and I have chosen the Avocado Toast with scrambled egg. For 7 € you’ve got a big plate and it’s definite more than enough. We also took a carrot cake and a small cappuccino which was very good as well.

After we started our day with a huge breakfast we were ready to stroll through the Amsterdam city. Our first stop was a small store called Thuyskamer. There you will find some cute handmade products like jewelry, home living decoration, interior items and much more. I really love the concept of the store which is worth visiting. You find the cute hop in the heart of Amsterdam Nieuwe Nieuwstraat 26. I felt in love with some beautiful water glasses and regret that I haven’t bought them.

Afterwards we strolled through the famous and beautiful canals of Amsterdam and enjoyed the sun. Especially during the summer month and on the weekends you will see a lot of boats and I highly recommend you to to one of these boating trips.

After our little break we continued our shopping tour in the streets near to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. We found a super cute “new” store called Catwalk Junkie. They spend their doors in December 2016. Catwalk Junkie is established in 2009 in Amsterdam and they create a unique style of fashion. And it’s true. I found a lot of cute items and felt in love with a unique dress printed with stars. They have a lot of cute sweaters and t-shirts and you also find their styles online at catwalkjunkie.com. But if you’re in Amsterdam you have to go to the Catwalk Junkie Store in Prinsengracht 419 Amsterdam.

If you’re looking for some Designer items I recommend you to go to Tenue de Nimes. It’s a great concept store located in Elandsgracht 60 and you will find some items from ACNE, Norse Projects, Levis and much more.

Another thing you have to do when you’re in Amsterdam and the weather is fine, you have to visit the Vondelpark. It’s a huge green park located near to the center in Amsterdam. It’s great to stop by for a little break in the sun or to relax for a few hours. I would recommend you to rent some bikes to get there and to enjoy the typical Amsterdam lifestyle.

Now we come to my favorite tip and I would highly recommend you to go there. Let’s end the day with a delicious dinner. My favorite spot for dinner in Amsterdam is the Fou Fow Ramen Japanese Cuisine in Elandsgracht 60. They serve super delicious Ramen soup and I love the vegetarian soup so much. If you never eat Ramen before you have to go there.
